Dr. Calvin Kam is the Founder/CEO of Strategic Building Innovation, bimSCORE, BIM Supporters Group, and PlanMeetDone.com. A licensed architect as well as an engineer in the USA, Calvin is an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University’s Center for Integrated Facility Engineering (CIFE), where he specializes in strategic innovation such as Management Scorecards, Building Information Modeling, Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), and Digital Twins. Calvin advises public and private owners globally, and is the Chapter President of buildingSMART USA and the Chair of its Education and Professional Certification Committee. Calvin has been an appointed international BIM expert for the Singapore government’s Building Construction Authority. He has given many keynote and plenary speeches in over 20 countries, published a number of book chapters, APEC official publications, journal articles, and conference papers. Calvin was a recipient of various AIA, ASCE, SOM, Stanford University Fellowships, ENR’s “20 under 40” and BD&C’s “40 under 40” awards.
