Project Managers’ Role and Leadership in navigating an evolving legal and regulatory landscape for Built Environment projects in Singapore

The Project Manager is more than simply a role laden with responsibilities – the Project Manager is also a key player in Built Environment projects who helps and leads his client, his employer, his team, and his subcontractors to a timely, safe and successful execution of the project. To this end, it is important that the Project Manager understands, appreciates and keeps up with changes to the contours of Singapore’s statutory and regulatory regimes which govern Built Environment projects. Two key pieces of legislation which govern projects are the Building Control Act and the Workplace Safety and Health Act. This talk aims to provide Project Managers with a key insight into how these statutes function and affect projects so that Project Managers are able to guide and lead their projects to successful and timely completion.
